Another DR's appt...

Saw the doctor again today (who by the way I love, he is awesome and doesn’t treat me like a “number”. I hope he is the one who delivers the baby.). I am going to be out of work until at least January 12th now, and can't leave the house. This will be about six weeks now. Good thing is I have short term disability at least, so hopefully someday soon I will get some sort of income from them. I just wish the Hyperemesis would just go away - this is nothing at all like my first pregnancy w/ Brad. I am still extremely nauseous and can only keep very few things down. Right now I can tolerate corn pops and rice krispies…

This week I was in the hospital for two days due to severe dehydration and not being able to keep anything down. The Dr has now advised that I be out of work for the next three weeks, until at least December 28th. I just can't believe all this - I hate being so sick, this is all just so overwhelming. I just want to get better!!!

Well, we got back from the cruise and long story short, I was VERY sick the whole time. I got some anti-nausea medicine from the Dr before leaving, but that did little to no good. I tried sea bands, crackers, preggie pops, everything. So today I went to the Dr again and she said was dehydrated and need to be at home. So I have a nurse coming later today to hook me up to an IV and I will also be getting medicine delivered via a catheter in my thigh hooked to a pump. FUN! I hope this helps.

Well, today I found out I am pregnant. I am a little shocked. My husband and I are going to be heading out on our one year anniversary cruise to the Eastern Caribbean in a couple weeks! We had been “trying” for the past five months or so, and this was the month that we were not really trying that much because of the cruise (of course). It’s a little overwhelming! Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy, just nervous about going through the birth & care of a newborn again after almost eight years!
