I am in love with this picture! This is our youngest eating Gerber Banana Puffs this morning... I know I am pretty biased, but OMGosh isn't he just adorable? :)

Our Day So Far...

Yesterday Hans worked a 24 hour shift and got in this morning at 6:30am. He then had to get back up at 7:30am because here in Lakeland, today is the kickoff for the "Sun & Fun Fly-In" - which is an annual airplane event by our home. Since he is on the volunteer fire department, he had to "work" today until 5pm at the event. So, he is running on fumes right now I am sure! My poor husband. After 5pm he coaches our oldest son's flag football team, then he can come home, eat, and I am sure CRASH right afterword! He gets to wake up at 4:15am and leave for another 12 hour shift, but at least he will get a good night's sleep in beforehand.

What have I been up to, you ask? Well, lets see. I took my good friend's kids to school this morning in the Brandon area, and then went over to American Signiture Furniture to look around... of course this was AFTER waiting for a couple hours for all the stores to open. One would think they would open around 9:00am, but 10:00am... who knew? Anywho, back to the real happiness of my day so far. For about three years, Hans and I have been looking for decently priced, not to mention good looking barstools for our counter area. We saw that ASF had some that were on sale, so I went to look at them. I found a really nice one that was normally $109 - marked down to $39 a piece! They swivel and are also microfiber - SUH-WEET! I called Hans, asked if I may purchase, and he said to go for it! I almost didn't get them because apparently the "sale" ended yesterday, but after speaking with the manager he honored the price. We get to go pick them up on Friday. Here is he one we picked out:

Pretty nice, eh? I can't wait to be able to fill in that open area that we have right now. And get all that clutter off my countertop. Now, if only I knew where to put it all... that's another story... :)

Finally...

Well, I am going to follow Ashley's lead here and get back into "blogging". I have never felt I have been really good at this, so if this bores you to tears, I do apologize. HOWEVER, I just spent the past hour or so trying to make it pretty, so even if I am not appealing to you on a particular day, at least you have a lovely red backround to look at! :)

Today was my "Friday" at work, so that means I have the next two days off. Thank goodness! For those of you (or all two of you that may read this) that don't know, I work at GEICO in Claims. I am a claims adjuster extrordinaire. Or something like that. Anywho, I love my job, but definitely look forward to my time off! I work four days a week (10 hour days) and have three days off. I thought at first I would not like having mid-week days off, but let me tell ya - there is nothing like going to WalMart in the middle of the week, at 10am, and there being no one there!

So what do I have planned for my two days off? Nothing. Not at the moment anyway. Getting Brad up and to school - maybe attempting to see if Jacob will let me sleep in, something along those lines. Sounds like a plan to me...

Well, guess that is all for me for this evening.

Bradley's Point...

So I thought I would share a cute story. We were on our way home from church last night when we stopped off on a road with tons of Christmas lights. At one of the houses, they were giving out candy canes, so Brad got one. Just as I was about to turn onto the main road, Bradley sweetly said, "Mom, I wish I could give Jesus my candy cane, because he never gets any presents and it is HIS birthday."

I almost CRIED, and he had a point.

I told him that he can put it under the tree if he would like, and that the only present that we need to give Jesus in our trust in Him and to follow his Word.

I thought it was absolutely adorable, and summarizes the "childlike" faith we all should hold on to.
